Cheers to a long weekend!

We survived all of the back to school events and have made it to September! Hope you all have a great holiday weekend. Be sure to get all the upcoming events on your calendar!

Take care,

Nicole Stone

We only have a few staff members left to be adopted. Please consider signing up if you haven’t yet. Show our staff some love AND get some volunteer hours! Don’t forget our September gifts are to be brought up next week (September 6th-9th). See the sign up for details.

CLUB COTILLION

It's almost time for Club Cotillion sign up. This is an event for 7th grade students. The classes will be held on Sundays again beginning March 5th with registration opening this Fall.  8th grade parents are passing the torch, and CSA is in need of a parent of a 7th grade boy and a parent of a 7th grade girl to volunteer as a representative to help with getting out information to families.  In appreciation, the parent representatives selected will receive a guaranteed spot for their son/daughter and a discounted registration fee for promoting the program and encouraging families to enroll.  Please email Melissa Herring if you are interested. The first boy parent and girl parent to email will be selected.

CANE'S LUNCH - September 8th

Orders will close at midnight on Sunday, September 4th, so make sure to get your order in before then.

Make a donation!

Cornerstone's Check Writing Campaign is one of two fundraisers we have each year. The other is our Birthday Bash Auction/Carnival in April. Your donation means that CSA students don't have to sell wrapping paper, cookies, or whatnot to raise much needed funds. We all know that there are gaps in funding from the state, and therefore we encourage every Cornerstone family to contribute. 100% of check writing campaign dollars remain at CSA. No amount is too small, and every dollar makes an impact!  Donations are listed with the Membership options on the PTA website.

Interested in making your donation go twice as far? Check with your company to see if they participate in a Corporate Matching Program!

Do you own a business or know of a business that would like to support CSA and be listed in our directory and on our website? Email CSAUnderwriting@gmail.com for more details and forms. All business donations need to be received by September 9th.

Cornerstone PTA is a 501c organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

REFLECTIONS

Reflections is a national PTA contest and all students are encouraged to participate.

The theme for 2022-2023 is “Show Your Voice” – please see the attached flyer for more information.

Have you VOLUNTEERED this year?

If so, please log in your hours.  Every family is asked to volunteer 10 hours.  It’s highly likely you’ve already earned some hours!

Go to the PTA Website, and on the home page you will see this button. Click and fill in the form.

Do you know what SBEF is?

Spring Branch Education Foundation believes in student success. As the nonprofit organization that partners with Spring Branch ISD, we fund programs that enrich education for students across the district. Led by a volunteer board of community leaders, we raise funds through donations and community events. Thanks to a generous community, we give scholarships to a growing number of seniors each year, and we award grants for mentoring programs, classroom libraries, technology and much more.

Our board and volunteers believe in quality, public education for EVERY child; and we believe strong schools build strong communities.

Organized in 1993, we now routinely donate more than $1 million each year to the district. You can help. Together, we are Making Our Schools Better. Visit https://sbef.springbranchisd.com for more information!

THANK YOUs

PTA Treasurer: Jenny Riley has been working overtime this month with the hundreds of checks that have come in to pay for membership, spirit wear, Cane’s lunches, and numerous reimbursement requests. And she makes it look easy! Thank you Jenny for being such a rockstar!

VP of Membership: Mandy Barrow has been many, many hours working to figure out how to bring CSA into the 21 century and be able to submit our membership information and pay our PTA dues online rather than on paper and by check. This was big undertaking and I can’t thank her enough for getting everything up and running!

Website: And one more thank you, again, to Jaime Coffey. I feel like I e-mail daily asking for changes or updates to the website, help with flyers or logos, and many other things. It all gets done fast and also looks incredible.

Newsletters: Our newsletter editor, Nicole Benoit, has really done an amazing job designing the newsletter and more importantly, taking all of the information that I throw into a word document and making it look official! I can’t thank her enough for her patience with me as I have slowly but surely been getting more organized. I appreciate you so much!
